All of our Performing Company and Jazz/Tap Repertory students are invited to compete in at least three competitions a year. Past years we have participated in Kids Artistic Review (KAR), NYCDA, Starpower, and JUMP. Please see our EVENTS page for current competition dates and locations.
For our less experienced dancers, we participate in KAR Invitational, a competition tailored for those dancers who take only one or a few hours of dance per week. While this competition is by invitation only, you do not have to be a member of either performing group to participate. This allows a majority of our dancers at CSDA to be involved in at least one competition, regardless of level or age.
